Christof Aellig receives PhD student award by the European Federation of Catalysis Societies (EFCATS). The award will be presented at the EuropaCat Conference in Lyon
Catalysis is a key technology for the sustainable transformation of raw materials into useful products. Whereas the focus of catalytic research used to be cleaning up of waste products or polluting gasses, the present approach should be the design of intrinsicly sustainable processes, efficiently using energy and material, thus minimizing the impact on the environment. To achieve this challenging goal, many disciplines must be put together.
